Eton Manor Boys Club
Set up by old Etonians in Hackney Wick, in particualr Major Arthur Villiers. It had 6 football pitches, 3 rugby pitches, swimming pool, 2 squash couts, 6 tennis courts, putting green, bowling green, and clubhouse with camera room ,snooker room, library. It had the runnig trck used for the 1948 Wembley Olympics. First floodlit running track in Great Britain. Clubhouse demolished to make way for motorway that goes to Blackwall Tunnel. Club closed in 1967.
