Biography
Customers Own Property is a fashion design label created by London based German designer Sabine Brauninger. After graduating from the MA fashion womenswear course at Central Saint Martins, in 2001, Brauninger gained work experience with Hussein Chalayan and Robert Cary-Williams and worked freelance assisting Kostas Murkudis for New York Industrie. Launched in 2002, Customer’s Own Property received New Generation Sponsorship by Topshop and the British Fashion Council from 2002 to 2004 and allowed Brauninger to exhibit her collections during London Fashion Week, which were subsequently shown at the Royal Academy of Arts from 2004 to 2006. Customers Own Property offers both menswear and womenswear designs which incorporate elements of workwear and more luxurious craftsmanship, with an emphasis on proportion, and relaxed masculine tailoring.
