Biography
Edith was born in Hackney in 1912 and at the outbreak of the Second World War she was living with her mother Sarah and sister Ivy in Clapton and working as a food wrapper for OXO. In the 1960s she studied typing at the Hackney & Stoke Newington College for Further Education.
