Ivy Burkett

Ivy Burkett was born on 3 September 1910. She is the daughter of Agnes Burkett (née Nash) and William Burkett. She was the granddaughter of Emma and Samuel Nash. Her brother was Dennis J Burkett. In 1939 she lived at 59 Mayola Road with her mother, father, brother, along with her aunt Amy and uncle Edwin Burkett. She attended Lady Eleanor Holles school on Mare Street. In 1926 she matriculated at the University of London. In 1937 she received a certificate for regularly attending a Course of Instruction in Estimating at London School of Printing and Kindred Trades. She was employed doing clerical work for a printing firm.
