Red Saunders is a British photographer and director. He was born in London in 1945 and was a co-founder of the Rock Against Racism movement. Saunders' photography focuses on cultural, musical and political activism. During his career, he has worked in film, television, theatre and music and has produced photographs for magazines, newspapers and album covers. In 1988 he moved to a studio in Stoke Newington. Saunders' 'Hidden' project began in 2008 and aimed to recreate historical scenes of struggle and activism throughout history.
