Harry Beckett was a Barbados-born trumpeter and is recognised internationally as an influential jazz musician of the 20th century. Beckett moved to London in 1954 and was a key figure in the British jazz scene from the 1960s onwards. He worked with many musicians across various projects including the 1962 film 'All Night Long' (dir. Charles Mingus) and musicians and groups such as Graham Collier, Annie Whitehead and Ronnie Scott's quintet. Beckett also lead many groups of his own and was a revered figure within the British jazz scene.
