Evelyn Whurr

Evelyn M Whurr (née Nash) was born on 21 December 1894. She was the daughter of Emma and Samuel Nash. Her siblings were Samuel J Nash, Agnes Burkett (née Nash) and Amy Burkett (née Nash). Evelyn attended Cassland Road School, before going to Cusack's Business College. She gained her Pitmans certificate in 1912 and became a shorthand typist working at C. Lindseys & Co Ltd on Englefield Road for 19 years. She left in 1932 to get married.
