History

ICE Records is an international record label created in 1974 by musician Eddy Grant after he stepped away from performing with his band The Equals in the early 1970s. The record label began in London but is now based in Barbados. ICE Records releases and promotes Caribbean music such as calypso as well as a selection of blended genres which Grant calls 'ringbang'. As well as a roster of Caribbean artists, Eddy Grant has released much of his own music through ICE Records. ICE Records ran alongside Eddy Grant's recording studio in North London, Coach House.
