Ken Meharg

Biography

Ken Meharg studied science at the University of Birmingham where he met future collaborator Bob Linney (c. 1948-2023). By 1972, he was at the Birmingham Arts Lab, an experimental self-governing artists’ collective, where he worked interchangeably with Linney using a common style and approach. Meharg moved to London in 1975 after being invited to work at the Institute of Contemporary Arts, before he and Linney established X3 Posters at their own workshop in Butler’s Wharf. In 1981 X3 moved to a bigger studio in Shoreditch.
