Devki Nandan Sharma, along with his mum and brothers, left India in April 1946 to join his father in Clapton. They arrived in London the May 1946 and initially lived at Pedro Street in Clapton. Devki Sharma joined the family business, Pandit & Partners Limited, manufacturing manufactured women’s dressing gowns.
