R. Barden

R. Barden specialised in electrical good such as radio, television, refrigerators and later satellite dishes. The company probably experienced a boom in the 1950s and 1960s as more electrical goods were produced for consumers. It had a number of branches in the borough and across London, offering both retail and hire purchase options. By 1983 there were fewer adverts for the company and only one branch listed, in E8, so probably the one on Kingsland High Street.
