Physical Description
Islamic Poster.
A view of a Persian-style Islamic building, probably the tomb of a religious leader, perhaps that of Imam Hussain Ibn Ali at Karbala (now in Iraq). Among the clouds, from right to left, are the Kaaba, inscribed ‘O Allah!’; the candle-lit Quran; and the Al-Masjid an-Nabawī ('The Prophet's Mosque' in Medina, Arabia.) inscribed ‘o Muhammad (Peace be upon Him)’. The white writing at the top of the poster reads: ‘Behold! Verily on the friends of God there is no fear, nor shall they grieve’.
