Islamic Poster.
The heading of this complex poster is ‘There is no God but Allah, Muhammad (Pece be upon Him) is the Messenger of Allah’. Either side of the Kabah is written ‘Behold! Verily on the friends of God there is no fear, no shall they grieve’, and in the crescent below the green dome of the Prophet’s Mosque, ‘Merciful eyes’.
The first section shows six saints sitting in front of their tombs or shrines. On the right, from top to bottom, they are ‘Tomb of Hazrat Ghous-e-Pak (Baghdad Shareef)’, ‘Tomb of Hazrat Boo-Ali Sharf (Pani Pat)’ and ‘Tomb of Hazrat Mehboob-e-Elahi (Delhi)’. On the left, in the same order, they are ‘Tomb of Hazrat Khawaga Moinud-din Chisti Ajmeri’, ‘Tomb of Hazrat Khawaga Qutbud-din (Delhi)’ and Tomb of Hazrat Baba Farid Ganj-e Shaker’. Alongside Hazrat Khawaga Qutbud-din the text reads ‘Whoever calls you for help in trouble, you are always there’.
The woman in the second sections is hown near a potential drowning. The text reads ‘Call for help to Shaykh Abudul Qadir Jilani to save from drowning’. The religious leader on the far right is ‘Hazrat Shah Meena’ and the one with a tiger and a snake ‘Hazrat Shah Madar’. On the left is ‘Shah Abdul Latif Bhatai (Sind)’.
The third section contains two religious sayings On the right is ‘If you want to do something heart-searching then serve a Shakyh, because you cannot find this diamond even in a king’s jewellery box’; in the centre is ‘O Allah, only you know what is the secret hidden inside the people of heart that they ignite the dead light with just one blow of their breath’.
From right to left the photo-sketches represent the religious leader ‘Hazrat Kanwan-Wali Sarkar’ sitting in front of his tomb in Gujerat, the green-robed ‘Syed Asphar Ali Shah’, the blue-suited ‘Chan Pir’ and ‘Syed Pir Asghar Ali Shah’.
