Physical Description

Muslim boy's prayer cap from Lahore, Pakistan; an important component of religious and cultural dress in the region. Made from cotton, thread and glass beads, this handmade cap was purchased by a Hackney resident at the Lahore shrine of the Sufi mystic, Daata Ganj Bakhsh (also known in Arabic as Abul Hassan Ali Hajvari).
