A copy of the Daily Jang, a national Urdu newspaper from Pakistan, dated Dec. 25th, 1986 and marked 'New Year Edition'. As of 2016, the Daily Jang is the oldest newspaper in Pakistan, having been in continuous publication since 1939. The cover depicts Muhammad Ali Jinnah, widely revered in Pakistan as founder of the nation. It was donated by a Hackney resident who had purchased several items in Pakistan for Hackney Museum
