Physical Description
Glass bottle, pale green, with 'EA King, Spread Eagle' etched on one side. The Spread Eagle was a pub on Homerton High Street, first at no.33, then 156, and finally at 224, depending on the numbering scheme at the time. There are records of the pub dating back to 1752; it closed in 2014, reopening later that year as the Jackdaw & Stump. 'EA King' refers to Edwin Albert King, first listed as the Licensed Victualler in the 1891 Census, and still in the records as such in 1919.
