Gray’s Gentleman Outfitters
Different dances required their own uniforms. Popping is a form of street dance where a quick jerking effect (or ‘pop’) is created in the arms, legs, chest or neck.
Originally from America, it was popularised locally by groups such as the Clear Crew on the Kingsmead Estate. To complete the desired look, the dancers would wear white gloves.
