MISS DAINES September 26th, 1959,
Buy from Health Food Stores:-
CAFDAN
or, failing this, liquid essence of Dandelion Coffee. Add to any of your milk drinks, as liked. Make as directed on tin or bottle, but either are extremely simple to use.
EGGS:
Make 4 your weekly limit. Can be taken at any meal, but preferably not for breakfast, unless for occasional use.
BREAKFAST:
This ca be grated apple now, with creamy milk; (make sure the apple is sweet; grate in the skin and eat it; this will do nothing but good).
After the apple - 1 slice of wholemeal toast, butter. Honey would be best eaten with the toast and butter, but, if you simply cannot tolerate it, then sometimes you could have a very small quantit of marmalade, for a change.
Your taste may change with the new diet, however, and try yourself out again with a little honey; it is very strengthening, if eventually you find you can take it.
VEGETABLES:
All kinds are suitable, e.g. cooked carrots, marrow, runner beans (not broad beans, and rarely peas, which are more clogging, but all other veg. are excellent.)
At your evening meal, tend to eat more salad foods all the time, as eventually we want you to be able to eat more liberally of salad foods than anything else. To make a change you can eat cooked veg. with salad, but cooked are not essential, if you prefer the uncooked entirely.
Eat liberally of celery, chicory (when available); you can have these at once.
Chop, steak, can be taken 3 times weekly, or, once a fortnight, substitute one of these days with fish, if preferred.
. . . . .
Obtain from Public Library, "RELAX AND LIVE" by J.A 1/2 Kennedy...
pub.A.Rider and Co.
Most libraries will obtain it if not already on their list.
Price 11/6d. if you prefer to buy.
Use INFA RED lamp, as we discussed verbally. Boots or other similar stores can supply a small one for home use.
