This is a report card for William T. Daines issued by the Leather Trades School of the City and Guilds Institute of London. For his course in intermediate 'lasting' (shaping the leather), Daines was awarded a B grade but, although he had good attendance, his notebooks and practical work were average. Course of instruction: Lasting (B) Welted. Intermediate stage. Attendances 30 out a possible 31. Marks for notebooks 6 out of a possible 20. Marks for practical class work 198 out of a possible 270. At the end of the session he passed the intermediate examination in his subject, including the written and oral tests, and in practical work, and is thereby qualified to enter the advanced stage of the course of instruction at the school.
