New Zealand patrol, seeking out Nazis, probes hiding-places in the much-battered town of Cassino. Originally on the 8th Army Front, it was announced on Feb. 18, 1944 that New Zealand units had been transferred to the 5th Army sector near Cassino, where they formed the spearhead of the Allied thrust into the town after it was ombed on March 15. They have also campaigned with very great distinction in Libya, Egypt, Crete, Greece and the S.W. Pacific
