The following motion was carried at the branch meeting held today
"This re-convened Brnach Meeting notes with disgust that Andy Murphy is still under punitive suspension by Hackney Council because of his political views.
We resolve to call a 24hr strike on Wednesday 2 May 1990 as the start of a campaign to secure Andy Murphy;s re-instatement and complete exoneration.
This meeting will be reconvened on Friday 4 May 1990 to vote on a proposal for All-Out Strike action should Andy Murphy not be reinstated by Thursday 3 May 1990.
