A campaign badge which reads "Stop rate-cappin'...service slashin'...job axin'...money-grabbin'...Thatcher. Hackney, Britain's poorest borough". This type of badge would have been worn by a supporter of the anti- Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher campaign.
Cheap and quick to produce and easy to distribute, badges were a popular vehicle for campaign protest from the 1970s onwards.
