Physical Description

This needle box is made from wood. It is cylindrical and has been turned to create grooves. It slides apart and contained sewing needles (object numbers 1991.904 and 1991.921).

Object history

The needles and case were thought to be used by Mr R.J. King (d.1927), master harness smith and hame maker who had a smithy in Stepney.
