Physical Description

This Queen Carnival costume was created for a child to wear at the 1990 Notting Hill Carnival. It is based around the theme of 'From the Heavens came...the passage of one day on planet Earth'. It was designed by Lincoln Rahamut of the Perpetual Beauty Carnival Club, a training and development agency based in Hackney. The club trains people in carnival skills and participates in carnivals all over the world. This costume is regarded as a good example of the interpretation of a theme.
