Physical Description
These tools were used by women working from home to make artificial flowers in the late 1800s. This specialist trade was mostly based in Hoxton. The flowers were used to decorate hats. This tool consists of a wooden handle with 3 grooves etched on its side. It has a flat metal base with a long solid metal tip that flattens out and curves to one side (sickle shaped).
