This book is bound in dark blue cloth. The title is embossed in gold on spine. A paper label reading 'Stoke Newington Public Library - published 1698' is pasted on inside front cover.

'The Distiller of London' was written by Theodore Turquet de Mayerne in 1652. It provides the 'Rules and Directions for extracting and drawing of Low-Wines and Spirits, to be re-distilled into Rich-Spirits, Strong-Waters or AQUAVITAE.'
