Physical Description

A National Health Insurance book issued to Annie Heathfield by the Prudential Approved Society for Domestic Servants. Heathfield worked as a domestic servant and paid into the scheme through an agent of the Prudential in Stoke Newington. This entitled her to sanitorium (hospital) and medical benefit, sickness and maternity benefit, and disablement benefit. Half of the weekly contribution of 6d (6 pence) was paid by the worker and half by the employer.
