These wedding rings with a heart-shaped central piece consist of five rings attached to chains with a round-cornered rectangular shape at the top. A bride would wear one on each hand. Jewellery is a very important part of a woman's dowry in Indian weddings and is usually made of high quality gold. This piece is a copy, purchased for the museum by members of the Factory Community Centre Asian Women's Group.
