Charlie Warren

Charlie Warren joined the army in July 1916, leaving behind his wife and 3 year old daughter at home in Reighton Road, Clapton.

Charlie sketched these scenes of life at the front. One show soldiers at Messines Ridge in 1918, a German stronghold southeast of Ypres, Belgium. The other is a comical sketch.
