Physical Description
This is a Vietnamese De drum decorated with painted golden cloud designs. The drum face is made from pigskin which has been nailed to the wooden frame, with pig hair still attached. This type of drum is played with other instruments to accompany the performers in Hat Cheo, a style of North Vietnamese theatre.
