Physical Description
Rattle made of an egg shaped gourd vessel which reduces into a small handle. Egg shaped part of hte body is covered with a net of red textile strings and miniature mussels or seeds.

These beaded rattles are made from vine gourds that grow
on the ground. The gourds are dried for several months
and then the pulp and seeds are removed. They are then
scrubbed and beadwork and colours are added. The shape
of the gourd determines the sound of the instrument.
