Personal experiences
Shared by Gül Akpinar
"The yarn is made from sheep's wool. It's woven by hand. The yarn is dyed in various colours, the loom is set up and the designs prepared. We assemble the loom ourselves - it consists of 10 separate pieces.
Why do we love the kilim? It's one of the hand-made products that is unique to our country and our people. We weave it because we make it ourselves and for commercial reasons."
