Small model of a Bellarmine Jug with Hackney motto and heraldic shield showing St Augustine Tower.
Following the arrival of affordable travel with the railways, from the 1880s William Henry Goss (W.H.Goss) made miniature pieces of china to sell as cheap souvenirs. Called ‘Goss crested ware’ these were printed with crests and coats of arms of the particular town onto each piece.
