There are several photographs of Jessie Lacey in the Eason collection. Although we can find no record of her being a professional artiste, her appearance and accessories strongly suggest that she was at least an amateur performer.
In several of her portraits she can be seen holding a type of rope or lasso. "Trick and fancy roping acts" usually featured on the bills of Wild West shows and it is interesting that Jessie is also wearing a variation on a native American headdress.
