FIRE CALLS

The reporting system presecribed in the FIRE GUARD PLAN will apply in the area of the above Local Authority from Monday, 12th June, 1944, onwards.
As from the above-mentioned date the methods to be employed to summon assistance at fires will vary, as set out below, according to the time at which the outbreak occurs, viz:---
(A) During the FIRE GUARD PLAN PERIOD.
or (B) During ALERTS outside the FIRE GUARD PLAN PERIOD,
or (C) At all other times, commonly known as LULL PERIODS.

NOTE.--- The FIRE GUARD PLAN PERIOD will come into operation on each occasion when an ALERT or hostile attack from the air occurs at any time from 8 p.m. OR half an hour before blackout (whichever is the later time), until 6 a.m., OR half an hour after blackout (whichever is the earlier time) , and it wil continue in your FIRE GUARD SECTOR

if there are NO FIRES IN YOUR SECTOR and if your sector is not required to give assistance to other sectors, until the Raiders Passed Signal, or
if there are FIRES IN YOUR SECTOR or if your sector is required to give assistance to other sectors, until your Sector Captain dismisses the FIRE GUARD

TO SUMMON ASSISTANCE AT FIRES YOU MUST ACT AS BELOW
