Physical Description
White satin dress with separate lace bodice (and lace evening bag) designed by Barbara Hill for her 21st birthday party. The dress and bodice were made for the designer by her mother who was a Hackney born, high-class dress maker who specialised in making wedding dresses. Hill's mother also made costumes for a children's dancing school in Knightsbridge, through this work she encountered many interesting people including Diana Spencer who would later become H.R.H Princess Diana. The dress was also worn at a New Year's Eve party and a Theatre First Night.
