Silk Bodice for a white satin dress (also goes with lace evening bag) designed by Barbara Hill for her 21st birthday party. The dress was made for the designer by her mother who was a Hackney born, high-class dress maker who specialised in making wedding dresses. Hill's mother also made costumes for a children's dancing school in Knightsbridge, through this work she encountered many interesting people including Diana Spencer who would later become H.R.H Princess Diana. The dress was also worn at a New Year's Eve party and a Theatre First Night.
