Physical Description
White lace evening bag (to match white satin dress, also in the Museum) designed by Barbara Hill for her 21st birthday party. The bag was made for the designer by her mother who was a Hackney born, high-class dress maker who specialised in making wedding dresses. Hill's mother also made costumes for a children's dancing school in Knightsbridge, through this work she encountered many interesting people including Diana Spencer who would later become H.R.H Princess Diana.
