Object history
This opinion poll was taken at a stall positioned at the corner of London Fields and Broadway market on the Peoples Vote Day of Action 29 September 2018. Peoples Vote was a campaign group calling for a second referendum following the UK's 'Brexit' vote in 2016 to leave the European Union.
In the 2016 referendum, a overwhelming 78% of those voting in Hackney wanted to voted to stay in the European Union, the second highest proportion in the country. Residents of the borough were often used in the media as a stand in for the ‘Remain’ voters.
