Hackney resident Eithne Nightingale interviewed and photographed her neighbours about the objects that had sustained them during lockdown.
“From mid-March to mid-June 2020, I took a series of photographs of my neighbours in Isabella Road, and the adjoining Mehetabel Road.
It seemed important… to capture the historical significance of Life Under Lockdown during the Covid-19 pandemic. I came up with the idea of asking people to be photographed with objects that had sustained them during the crisis.
As I live alone this has been a great way to interact with people at a social distance.”
