Rising Against the Odds
The 1990s was a difficult time to start a new sound system. Noise restrictions were becoming tougher, and fewer venues welcomed high powered sound systems. Despite these circumstances, Hackney born Aba-Shanti-I became one of the most internationally famous Roots Reggae sound systems established in that period. They still regularly play across the UK and Europe today.
