Object history
The badge 'Survival' represents the omonimous organisation which was founded 1969 by a group of people appalled by the genocide of Amazonian Indigenous peoples in Brazil.
Since then, the movement has campaigned for the rights of tribal people all over the world (for example the legal recognition of tribal lands), as well as for the dismantle of bias that consider tribes 'primitive' and not contemporary societies.
Since its founding, Survival has been providing a platform to expose the atrocities and injustices that tribal people were -and still are- subjected to.
