Object history
This badge was owned by Hackney activist Ian Rathbone. Its artwork appears to be promoting a message a racial harmony.
It may potentially be associated with Harmony (now 'People in Harmony') an organisation founded in 1972 to support mixed race families and couples. Its founder Carol Kayira was a white woman married to Malawi writer, who began the organisation after struggling to find resources and information to meet the cultural and identity needs of her own mixed race children.
