With an interest in Hackney’s industrial history and diversity of the population, photographer David George explored Hackney at night. This was a different world to the one he experienced in the day time.
David’s pictures show deserted parks and empty streets. While people are removed from these images, lights shining in the distance hint at the presence of people. This emptiness is an invitation to imagine the stories of the characters who use Hackney by night.
