Dear Mr. Podlashuk,
Many thanks for your letter and I was glad to hear that you are quite fit and well.
The weather here at the present time is very hot, and I see from your letter that it is much the same where you are, although by the seasons it is supposed to be winter.
I note that you have some very good prospects in view, and I hope that by this time they have materialised to your advantage.
If this is the case, I expect you will not waste any time in sailing for London, looking forward to a successful start once again. If you have not yet been lucky enough to obtain something definite, I sincerely trust that your silver lining is not far away.
As regards myself, I am keeping well and am still in the same position. At the present time the money is the same, but it is hardly the place I really like. However it is something to go on with and I must look forward to the future for improvements. They are very busy at this season, and I have been working overtime, which, this week, has brought the cash up a certain extent.
Will you please note that in future my address will be as above, since we have now moved away from the address which you have written down in your little book.
I hope that Mrs. Podlashuk is as well as can be expected and that the time is not far off when you will be at home again.
