Sewing machine used for leather at Albert Morris Tattam Shoe Repairs which was based at 2A Brodia Road, Stoke Newington.
These types of industrial sewing machines were made especially by Singer for working with leather and making articles such as shoes, boots and harnesses. The user can sew close to the edge of the piece and get into small curves and folds such as the toe of a shoe.
