Physical Description
A3 giclee print of a coloured line drawing. The drawing shows cream coloured houses (St. Mark's Rise, Dalston) surrounded by green foliage such as trees and shrubs. Two figures are shown sat on a balcony of one of the houses. Several birds are also depicted in the image on chimneys and in the sky.
Object history
Jane Smith created this drawing during the first Covid-19 Lockdown in 2020. She lives in Dalston and can see the backs of the houses on St. Mark's Rise from her kitchen, which are the houses depicted in the print. According to a post on her social media, Jane submitted this drawing to Grayson Perry's Art Club, an online art campaign and TV show which ran throughout the pandemic and encouraged people to create, submit and talk about art.
