Small circular badge depicting the well-known symbol of Transport for London, the roundel. The text in white capital letters reads 'Save London Transport'.
Object history
During the early 1980s, there was a campaign against the Conservative government's efforts to remove the management and control of London Transport from the Greater London Council. With the abolition of the GLC in 1986, London Transport was effectively nationalised, and later succeeded in 2000 by Transport for London.
