Object history
This slogan and design was used Public Transport Week 24 November - 2 December 1984. Public Transport Week sought to warn people of the Government's plans to 'dismantle' public transport in London after taking control from the Greater London Council (GLC). The campaign drew attention to proposals introducing fare increases, service cuts and privatisation. The week consisted of a number of public meetings and events, including a women's day, a pensioners' day and disability travel day.
