Hackney: A landscape of memories and time

Neil Martinson
Neil Martinson has photographed Hackney every decade since the 1970s, especially of people at work. Working for Centerprise Bookshop in Dalston, Neil set up the Hackney Flashers with photographer Jo Spencer in 1974.
After almost 50 years, Neil returned to many of the locations and themes he photographed in the 1970s. This new series offers a perspective of change and continuity for Hackney and its communities.
